About Us

The Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) is the leading professional association dedicated to enhancing opportunities for Latinos in accounting, finance, and related professions. Members of ALPFA represent firms such as Ernst & Young, KPMG, Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers, FOX, Disney, City National Bank, Sony, and many others in public and private industry, and government authorities. Currently ALPFA has 35 chapters nationwide with over 8,000 members of diverse ethnicities. ALPFA also sponsors quality programs such as ALPFA Cares, ALPFA Law, Women of ALPFA, and Students of ALPFA. The ALPFA Cal State LA Student Chapter is a professional student organization affiliate to ALPFA. In 2008, ALPFA CSULA joined over 50 other ALPFA Student Chapters nationwide which were founded based on the ideals, mission, and vision of ALPFA. Leaders of various CSULA student organizations came together and formed ALPFA CSULA's inaugural committee and committed themselves to sharing ALPFAs values with students of CSULA.

 

Purpose

Our purpose is to explore and promote academic issues concerning the fields of finance and accounting, enhance students' understanding of the professions of finance and accounting, and assist students in building a lifelong network of student and professional associates.

 

Mission

Our mission is to promote unity among business students from accounting, finance, and related fields of study; enhance leadership skills, foster integrity and credibility, and promote proper professional and social ethical conduct; and facilitate the transition from student to professional.
