I am a junior (soon to be senior after one more quarter) at Cal State LA. I am in the process of obtaining my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting. During my stint at this college I have gotten extremely involved in extracurricular activities. These include being Executive Secretary of ALPFA, Vice President of the Accounting Society, and Director of Alumni Relations for the Beta Alpha Psi honor society. I am also involved with organizations outside of campus including the Young Emerging Professionals group through the Cal CPA (California Society of CPAs) Los Angeles Chapter, am a student affiliate member of the AICPA, and also a member of Ascend. I truly enjoy networking and socializing with people, which helps me expand my knowledge and opportunities.
My professional experience includes, currently, a summer internship with the internal audit department for DreamWorks Animation SKG, and previously, 2 years at a small Commercial Real Estate company working as the office manager and assistant property manager, and also as a part-time assistant in a law office performing paralegal duties such as writing demand letters, and producing interrogatories and requests for production of documents.
Upon graduating with a degree in Accounting from Cal State LA, I will pursue my CPA license immediately.
o Compose and manage weekly email newsletters*
o Create and keep records of minutes from every officers’ meeting and email it to everyone
o Compile and manage RSVP list for on-campus and off-campus events and activities
o Send out reminders to members three days and one days prior the events and activities
o Compile and manage carpooling list for on-campus and off-campus events and activities
o Manage sign-in sheet and name tags for guests and members at each event
o Collect sign-in sheet at the end of each event and activities; send a thank-you note to everyone
o Create and manage Chapter Portfolio, include the following items: Professional Contact List from PR and Fundraising Committee, Membership List and Alumni List from Membership Committee, Events Report from Operation Committee, and Reimbursement from Controller
