ALPFA is the leading professional association dedicated to enhancing opportunities for accounting, finance, and business related professionals. It is a non-profit organization that consists of 37 professional chapters
and over 70 student chapters.

The ALPFA CSULA student chapter  is affiliate to ALPFA and was founded based on the ideals, mission, and vision of our professional chapters. Our student leaders value leadership through diversity in the global workforce and academia and are strive for our members to achieve professional growth, relationship building with professionals, service to the community, integrity, and culture.

2010 IRS CSULA Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA)

Program Highlights

ALPFA CSULA is proudly administrating the 2010 IRS VITA at CSULA , a community service program that prepares individual income tax return and filing for free. There are currently over 60 student volunteers participating in this program, meeting every Saturday since the beginning of November 2009.

Some responsibilities of ALPFA CSULA include managing training of student volunteers, marketing, operation, and so on. In 2009, VITA program helped 447 individuals in our community and is expected to do the same in 2010.

ALPFA CSULA Achievement Scholarship Award

Taking the current job market and college tuition raise into consideration, ALPFA CSULA student leaders stepped up and implemented the ALPFA CSULA Scholarship Program that aims to award our VITA volunteers and members, recognizing their hard work and commitment in making a difference in our community.

Attend our Orientation Meeting to learn more about the scholarship program. All ALPFA CSULA and VITA volunteers who attend all our events and social meetings are eligible for the scholarship application
